R.H., Southport: Many thanks for your help over the last six months. The payments of my benefits really took the pressure off our budget at a very expensive time. The central heating had to be on 24 hours a day, a special diet had to be purchased, taxis had to be used during the time I was not allowed to drive, and there was the cost of prescription charges.

E. O' K., London: I have nothing but the warmest praise for the SFS. My illness, which came extremely quickly, led to hospitalisation, surgery and a lengthy recuperation. Frankly I was amazed at how substantial the sickness payments were. I was able to use them to finance an extremely enjoyable holiday for my family, following the successful recuperation! I would most seriously commend the SFS as a marvellous way in which both to save money and as a great help at a time of ill-health, which unfortunately some of us will have to expect.
Mrs. J. R., Kent: I think it is a marvellous scheme. I would of course have preferred not to be a claimant but to see my fund grow as well as to carry on teaching. It seems to me though, that claimant or not, one can’t lose. In fact, even my husband has commented on how good you are and together we have decided to join your Tax-exempt savings scheme. My concentration and stamina is not what it was so that this has taken a while to compose. The fact that I thought it worthwhile might express how pleased I have been to date with your company and I wish you well for the future.

My applications for benefits have been treated speedily and efficiently, and payment of benefits has been regular. To be honest, I am amazed that I have received as much as I have done.
